a flying trip to Sydney

I must admit that before this week, nothing irked me more than asking someone in work how they enjoyed their business trip, only to get the reply: "I only saw the hotel room".

So how did I enjoy my trip to Sydney for work "I only saw the hotel and the conference centre". God how ungrateful does that sound?! But I did! I was in Sydney and I didn't even get the chance to spot the Sydney Harbour Bridge or the Opera House in the distance! Kinda major landmarks not to catch a glimpse of!
My itinerary was as follows: Airport, hotel, conference, hotel, dinner, hotel, conference, airport, home. If my flight had arrived into Sydney earlier on Monday night I would have gone exploring with my new camera but it was after 11pm when I got to the hotel room and I had an early start the next day.
The conference itself was a fantastic learning opportunity for me and loved having the chance to listen to such great speakers (some better than others!). I was super lucky to go away with a great group of people from work and we had a lovely dinner in Malaya on Tuesday night. We ate soooo much food, it was soooo yummy.
The trip certainly took it out of me. I could barely function on Thursday and succumbed to going home early on Friday. After sleeping Friday afternoon and having two sleep-ins this weekend I feel human again!

So you don't think I was so hard done by: here is a picture of mum and I on top of the Sydney harbour bridge last year. Been there, done that, have the t-shirt.
Trying desperately in this shot to pull off the all in one jumpsuit we had to wear on the climb....
