When my dress form arrives I will make....

I could not decide what to try first when my dress form arrives later this month. I am quite daunted at the thought of clothing construction so maybe something not too complex would be a good engcouraging start!
I remember happening upon the blog Gertie's New Blog For Better Sewing earlier this year and I swooned over her lovely vintage inspirted clothes she made herself.
Well on her blog she has a great tutorial to this lovely Full Gathered Skirt. It does not require a pattern and it looks quite do-able.
I may just have to buy her new book too.....
