Technology to help you get fit

This post should really be called - technology I really don't need but bought anyway.
Introducing fitbit flex; a powerful accelerometer that you wear 24/7 to track your activity (or lack there of), your sleep patterns, distance walked/ran and calories burned. So yes I hear you it is basically a fancy pedometer - but it acts as a constant reminder to me to move: to take the stairs instead of the lift, to walk to the shop instead of drive or walk Mr Frank Furter that extra bit each day(for his benefit AND mine!)
I also bought the wifi scales that sync my daily weight to my profile to allow me to track it on an awesome graph and see my BMI etc too. Since buying the flex and the aria scales 8 weeks ago I have lost over 3kg. I have another 12kg to go until I reach my goal but I am very happy so far.
There is a social aspect to the fitbit as well as it lets you track your steps against any friends that have a fitbit too so you can egg each other on or get an extra walk in at lunchtime to keep top of the leader board! The fitbit app also syncs to other fitness apps such as Myfitness Pal (this is really helpful as Myfitness Pal has a much better food diary and calorie library than the fitbit app if you are tracking your food).
Ok I better get going - have to go exercise!
