A critical error on my blogging strategy of late is the serious LACK OF BLOGGING happening here. But that will change.
I promised an update of why I have been MIA and here it is.
Crochet.
I've gone a bit crochet mad of late - I taught myself how to make a beanie and there the madness began.
One for the nephew, one for me and then nearly 10 more for little baby heads so far. Ladybugs, bears and flapper hats galor it has been one endless piece of yarn for me the last two weeks. I must admit that I am not even doing complicated crocheting to make the beanie - just increasing and decreasing to get a hat shape. The best thing about this is the cost of yarn - SOOOOOOOOO cheap in comparison to fabric. Needless to say my stash has grown exponentionally recently.
Last week saw me take part in a "Lead + Manage" seminar for work. It was enjoyable and I think the best part of it was learning how everybodies' values really affects how they behave and react and how it is important to know the values of those you work with. It also helped me write down my goals and values and where I would like to end up in x amount of years. Being able to be self employed by getting Ballyhoo Designs up and running was very much my end goal.
So for now I need to focus on giving myself the oportunities I need to help expand my networks and skill set so when the time comes Ballyhoo Designs can get up and running in no time at all.
