A few months ago I found out my cousin was pregnant with her first baby. Immediately my mind started thinking: mmmmmmm what to craft??? Her mum was the crafter that got me interested into embroidery and sewing when I was younger and Aunty Trish had made some B E A U T I F U L pieces for us when we were babies. The images and colours and the textures of these pieces were so strong in my memory as they had hung from walls in our bedrooms throughout our childhood.
I started searching online to see if I could find the pattern for one of the wall hangings she had embroidered from me. It was a long piece with several pannels of different animals and pictures in each one and down the bottom it said "I can touch....." but I had no luck.
So I got a good sibling at home to take a photo of it and i did some photoshopping to make the lines and colours more vibrant and printed it out as my pattern.
I have been terribly slack on it and the baby is due in the next few weeks. I am no where near complete.....I have a lot of work to do. I hope I get quicker with the more I do!
Here is a sneaky look at what is done so far......
